As I was reading through the article Preparing Students for the Twenty First Century, it really intrigued me. I could see myself trying the Internet Workshop. This would be easy for me to do because I am going to teach Technology to all 2nd graders this upcoming 4th quarter. My thoughts are to have the Internet Workshop be set up to tie in with our Essential Question for the week, and have the kids go to a sight that I have bookmarked. Then prepare an activity centered around the Essential Question, and have them share the last 2 days of our 10 day rotation.

Keke, I love your idea of using the Internet Workshop with the Essential Question for the week. You will empower students to ask more questions, locate answers, evaluate sites, synthesize information, and share using multimedia. Perhaps you could have students use Shadow Puppet EDU or Haiku Deck to share their learning. Both give you a URL link that you can post at the school/class website or email to parents. Do share an example if/when you try this!
